ABOUT US... ER... ME

I say me because X-O Facto is a one man band. I've been lucky enough to have some good friends help me at shows and with various other aspects of the business but when it comes to the every day grind, it's just little-ol me. I'm everything from the CEO to the mail boy.

The down side to this is that I'm usually swamped.

The upside is you always deal with me, no hourly employees who won't be there next week. No misinformation about what is or isn't in stock. No sticking you with a recast and telling you it's the real thing.

But most of all, you get my willingness to bust my ass to get your order out as quickly as possible.

My name, by the way, is John Tucky and a lot of you may already know me from my long association with Kitbuilder's Magazine. I'd like to thank you for dropping in to visit the new X-O Facto website.

X-O Facto was founded in May of 1996 (it just had it's five year birthday and it really is just learning to walk). It's still a small company but no where near as small as it was in the beginning (just look at our Godzilla kit selection). I hope that in the next couple of years all our other kit sections will be just as big as the Godzilla one.

A few things to know about X-O Facto.

X-O Facto has never charged a customer for a kit before it was ready to ship. This has been our policy from day one. Once this statement was made in our ads, the biggest dealer of kits here in the states decided to adopt the same policy. Remember, we did it first. While they were charging you for kits and making you wait weeks and months, we didn't charge you until the kit was ready to go.

I will always do my best to offer you the best possible prices on kits. There have been times when I've been more expensive than other dealers and a lot of times when I've been much less expensive than other dealers. But for kits that are currently in production I will always try to offer the best price available. Keep in mind that it's a different story on discontinued, hard to find kits, that's just the nature of the beast.

Maybe the most important thing you should know about X-O Facto is that IT IS NOT a full time gig. I have a regular day job and do this on the side - cause, baby, resin and vinyl don't pay the rent.

I will always do my best to make you, the customer, happy. If I drop the ball on occasion, remember I'm only human. Thank you again for visiting X-O Facto.

Best Wishes,
jt
